It covers what you need and the important points to remember.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"what-is-ach-direct-debit\"><a href=\"#what-is-ach-direct-debit\">What Is ACH Direct Debit<\/a><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>ACH Direct Debit is a way to pay electronically by moving money directly between US bank accounts. It works only in the United States and uses US Dollars.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>ACH payments usually take 1-4 days to finish because they go through a batch process in the Automated Clearing House network, not instantly.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"prerequisites\"><a href=\"#prerequisites\">Prerequisites<\/a><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Make sure these things are ready before you enable ACH payments.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>Your WishList LMS site needs an <strong>SSL certificate<\/strong> to ensure secure payments;<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/wishlistlms.com\/fr\/documents\/connect-stripe-with-wishlist-lms\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Connect your Stripe account<\/strong><\/a> to WishList LMS and make sure it works. Test it before turning on ACH payments.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Set your <strong>WishList LMS currency to USD<\/strong> because ACH only works with US Dollars;<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Set your <strong>Stripe account location<\/strong> to the United States;<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Make sure your <strong>WishList LMS site<\/strong> is set to the United States in the plugin.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon is-style-info\"><strong>Remarque :<\/strong> The Basic plan includes a 4.9% partnership fee on Stripe transactions. The Plus and Pro plans have no partnership fees.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"enabling-ach-in-your-stripe-dashboard\"><a href=\"#enabling-ach-in-your-stripe-dashboard\">Enabling ACH in Your Stripe Dashboard<\/a><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Before activating ACH in WishList LMS, enable the payment method in your Stripe Dashboard:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>Log in to your <strong>Stripe Dashboard<\/strong>.<\/li>\r\n<li>Go to <strong>Settings &gt; Payment Methods<\/strong>.<\/li>\r\n<li>Under <strong>Bank debits<\/strong>, locate <strong>ACH Direct Debit<\/strong> and click <strong>Allumer<\/strong>.<\/li>\r\n<li>Complete any verification steps Stripe requires.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"configuring-ach-in-wishlist-lms\"><a href=\"#configuring-ach-in-wishlist-lms\">Configuring ACH in WishList LMS<\/a><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon is-style-danger\"><strong>Warning:<\/strong> ACH Direct Debit can show on WishList LMS registration forms even if it is not enabled in your Stripe Dashboard. It also works with memberships that have free trials or paid trial periods.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"processing-timeline\"><a href=\"#processing-timeline\">Processing Timeline<\/a><\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>ACH payments take 1-4 business days to process. WishList LMS gets updates after Stripe handles the transfer.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Because of processing delays, extend the <strong>grace period<\/strong> in WishList LMS to 6 days. This keeps members from losing access during the ACH payment process.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>To do this, you would need to add the following code snippet to your site:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\" style=\"background-color:#f5f5f5\">add_filter('wlms_grace_init_days', function() {\r\n\treturn 6;\r\n});<\/pre>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>This code sets a 6-day grace period. You can change the number of days by editing the line below.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\" style=\"background-color:#f5f5f5\">return 6;<\/pre>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>If you use the mentioned payment methods for your renewals, the same issue might happen. You need to add a second code snippet to extend the grace period on renewals:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\" style=\"background-color:#f5f5f5\">add_filter('wlms_grace_expire_days',  function($days) {\r\n     return 1;\r\n});<\/pre>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Change the grace period duration for this code, like you did before for the first code.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>After updating the grace period in both code snippets, add them to your website&#8217;s functions.php file or use the <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/insert-headers-and-footers\/\"><strong>WPCode plugin<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"payment-restrictions\"><a href=\"#payment-restrictions\">Payment Restrictions<\/a><\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>ACH Direct Debit has specific limitations based on banking regulations:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>Only for US bank customers;<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Handles payments only in the US;<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Needs a Stripe account in the US and WishList LMS;<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Subject to ACH network processing times and bank schedules.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"managing-ach-subscriptions\"><a href=\"#managing-ach-subscriptions\">Managing ACH Subscriptions<\/a><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Managing subscriptions with ACH payments is straightforward. If a customer pauses or cancels, any payments already sent through ACH will still be processed.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Payments after subscription changes won&#8217;t be automatic. This helps avoid extra charges and follows ACH rules.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"troubleshooting-ach-issues\"><a href=\"#troubleshooting-ach-issues\">Troubleshooting ACH Issues<\/a><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Common ACH problems are wrong currency settings and incomplete Stripe setup. Make sure both WishList LMS and Stripe are set up for the US before testing payments.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Make sure ACH options show to customers by checking that the payment method is turned on in both systems. Also, ensure the customer locations and currencies meet ACH rules for payments to go through.
