Therefore, this guide shows how to set up BECS Direct Debit and what you need to do to get started.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"prerequisites\"><a href=\"#prerequisites\">Voraussetzungen<\/a><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Make sure these are ready before turning on BECS Direct Debit.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>First, <a href=\"https:\/\/wishlistlms.com\/de\/docs\/connect-stripe-with-wishlist-lms\/\"><strong>connect Stripe to your website&#8217;s WishList LMS<\/strong><\/a> and make sure it works. However, there are some limits to this payment method.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"geographic-and-currency-restrictions\"><a href=\"#geographic-and-currency-restrictions\">Geographic and Currency Restrictions<\/a><\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>BECS only works with Australian bank accounts and, therefore, uses Australian Dollars (AUD). Consequently, set your WishList LMS to AUD to use BECS.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Both your Stripe and WishList LMS country settings should be set to <strong>Australia<\/strong> for BECS to work properly.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"payment-processing-delays\"><a href=\"#payment-processing-delays\">Payment Processing Delays<\/a><\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>BECS is a payment method that supports delay; consequently, it can take up to 3 business days to process payments and send notifications about success or failure to WishList LMS.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon is-style-info\"><strong>Anmerkung:<\/strong> This delay in processing affects how subscriptions are managed. If you pause or cancel a subscription, it does not stop payments already being processed. Payments started before changing the subscription will continue, but new payments after the change will not be scheduled.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"grace-period-adjustment\"><a href=\"#grace-period-adjustment\">Grace Period Adjustment<\/a><\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>WishList LMS usually gives a 1-day grace period for subscriptions. However, for BECS payments, it is beneficial to extend this to 5 days to handle delays and weekends. This helps avoid access problems during payment processing.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>You can extend the default grace period to accommodate additional time for payment completion and confirmation.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>To do this, you would need to add the following code snippet to your site:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\" style=\"background-color:#f5f5f5\">add_filter('wlms_grace_init_days', function() {\r\n   return 5;\r\n});<\/pre>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>This code sets a 5-day grace period; however, you can change the number of days by editing the line below.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\" style=\"background-color:#f5f5f5\">return 5;<\/pre>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>If you use the mentioned payment methods for your renewals, the same issue might happen; therefore, you need to add a second code snippet to extend the grace period on renewals.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\" style=\"background-color:#f5f5f5\">add_filter('wlms_grace_expire_days',  function($days) {\r\n   return 5;\r\n});<\/pre>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Change the grace period duration for this code, as you did before for the first code.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>After updating the grace period in both code snippets, you should then add them to your website&#8217;s functions.php file or, alternatively, use the <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/insert-headers-and-footers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>WPCode plugin<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Learn how to enable BECS Direct Debit with Stripe and WishList LMS for Australian bank payments.
